Some of the newest apps to hit the iPad are games designed for your cat. Cat food maker Friskies has recently developed 3 games designed to grab your cat’s attention. Apparently, they’ve researched what stimulates a cat’s attention and designed the games off of that. The movements, colors, and game play have been tested and seem to be cat approved.
The apps themselves were written in HTML 5 using CSS 3, which render the graphics used in the game seamlessly. Friskies claims that the tough glass on the iPad doesn’t receive any damage from the claws of the cat, but they do warn that protective plastic screen covers could be damaged. The games can also be played on tablet formats such as Android.
The games are called Cat Fishing, Tasty Treasures Hunt, and Party Mix-Up! You can watch the video below to see how cats respond to the games when they are being played. We know what you’re thinking, but no, this isn’t a joke. It also isn’t the first time a game was developed for cats on the iPad.
This is a great example as how companies that would have a hard time creating a social media campaign can execute one. It’s a simple, yet very effective way to get people talking about your brand. Have you created a social media campaign that got people talking about your company? We’d love to hear about it in the comments.
